I successfully shortened the awning I had by about 3 feet. You are looking at shortening by something like 8 feet. I can’t remember how long the spring is but that should be determined before...

cut down a zip dee awning?

I have been offered a zip dee awning from a 31' airstream of approximately the same vintage as my 29'. Is it possible to shorten the awning? Has anybody done it?

I had lots of leak problems at one time. Removed the blue band and found that the rail was pop riveted on. Caulked them over. Hope this helps.

removing door lock

I've taken the lockset out on my '75 Ambassador and remember it hanging up, but I just wiggled and pushed to get it out. Hope this helps.
