Bathroom Towel Rack - Relocating

1 Attachment(s)
The entire 13 months that we have owned our Airstream (2007 25 foot, rear corner bed and rear corner bath), I have been confused as to why Airstream would place the bathroom hand towel holder in the shower/toilet area, instead of by the batroom sink.

Today, I decided that if I couldn't come up with a reasonable explanation by now then this is the day that I was getting moved. Attached is a photo of the new location of the bathroom hand towel holder.

Has anyone else with this floorplan ever wondered the same thing and come up with a reasonable explanation? Too late for us I guess ... because ours is now moved.

Now that looks like it's where it should be.

Our 2005 25' CCD is the same. I have been wanting to do something with the towel rack for some time. Now I just leave the towel on the sink folded up.

my racks are over the toilet so you drip on the seat while reaching for the towels and or watch them slide into the bowl! mine are also slated to be moved.

I drip on the seat anyway . . . .

Funny about the bathroom stuff. With our toilet.shower combo, it's great shower and head, but not so for other stuff.

The one "kitchen" sink really is the "clean up area" for both dishes and ourselves so I'd like a mirror next to the sink. Suction mirrors don't stick onto the formica surfaces or the microwave. But we are still in the newbie stage where we haven't gotten to the point of screwing anything into a virgin wall yet! So someone holds the mirror while contacts are put in!

When it's time and if we do decide to hang a mirror (which will be covered by a picture of some sort), what screws etc do you use? anything special we need to know? it would go into the side of the closet, so screws about 3/4" - no longer I'm sure.

thx.

If you don't want to screw anything into the wall try the 3M Command brand Damage Free Hangers. They come in several different sizes and styles including metallic silver colors that really look good in the Airstream.

I was skeptical about anything that just sticks on a wall but they really do work and they remove without damaging anything. They are rated based on how much weight they will hold. I put one (metallic silver rated for 3lbs) up as a hand towel hook beside my Airstream bathroom sink. I have also used 5lb fixtures in my home in the shower stall as bath towel hooks.

I tried other stick on hooks in the past and they didn't work but the 3M brand works great. They also have picture hooks, etc. Just follow the written instructions.
