Gaskets for 1970 Sovereign
5 Attachment(s)
Here are photos of the gaskets on my side and back windows which hold the plastic widows in place. I am replacing these windows. Where do I find this material and why are the back and side windows different? Finally, this is single pane plastic. Do I need to set the new panes in putty? Thanks for any help out there!

gasket
Bill, I am not an expert, but I belive that gasket material is no longer available from Airstream (BUT it should be "friendly hint") It appears yours is mostly there, just loose. You might be able to rebuild them. Check out Wasagachris;s thread, he has rebiult some windows. Others here have as well. The second gasket I am not sure of, it looks a bit like the weatherstrip from the window frame, that seals it ti the window fram on the trailer. That is available, as well as a newer style. Hope this helps. MPJ

Thanks moparjohn. I'll stop hunting for the gasket in the first picture and find a substitute. The black gasket (on the rear window) is much smaller and stiffer than the material used on the frame itself. I'll check Vintage and Inland RV.
