has anyone purchased a new frame for a vintage airstream?

i've posted before about frame repair. i got in enough to take a look at the rear end and i am very skeptical about repairing it. has anyone purchased a new pre-built frame? is so, i was wondering who i need to call (or website i need to go to) and about how much they cost. thanks!

Joe there aare no pre-bulit frames available. You can have a local welding shop fabricate one for you. They will need the old one to use as a template so you would have to lift the body off the frame and take it to them. Figure on about $2000 to have one made for you. That will cover labor and materials. Some parts are available from airstream like outriggers and crossmembers but not the main frame rails. I had one built for my 73 and used a mix of parts and fabricated items. If I had to do it over again the only parts I would buy are the outriggers. I would have the main rails and crossmembers fabricated at the welding shop.
Every frame is different depending on year and size so no ready made ones are out there.

thanks for the response chris. this will probably be my last post, as i've decided to clean up the airstream and put her back on the market. at the current place and time, my money situation won't allow me to get everything repaired in the deadline i've been dealt. thanks to everyone for their input, i'll see you in couple years with another (and shorter!) airstream.
