You might call us Airstreamers! I think!

We were just given a 1973 25' TradeWind for the price of hauling it away.

Since the price is right we decided to take the plunge and rebuild it. Note, I didn't say "restore" it.
It will look vintage on the outside as much as possible, but I will be replacing the appliances with new
models, and maybe even do some rearranging of the floorplan. Up until two months ago, we were tent trailer folks.
Because of Sharron's back surgery, we decided to buy an immaculate 1990 25' Fleetwood
Terry from a neighbour that was getting out of camping.

So now all of a sudden we have TWO travel trailers! And one of them an Airstream!

I will be depending heavily on these forums for advice, and encouragement, and even a slap or two upside the head when I am thinking of doing something dumb.

Got the title transferred today, and got two decent tires for the trip home (10 miles). It has been on blocks for the past 15 years, acting as an extra bedroom for the "kids".
I am going to haul it home on Mon. or Tues. and will know better then just what has to be done to it. At present I'm thinking a complete gut and rebuild, but that depends.

Anyway, I just thought I'd pop in and say hi. Looking forward to meeting you all.

Here are a couple of pics of it (outside only)

take care of it
That looks great...hows the inside? I bet its nice too. pictures and updates please....Have you ever considered being a Winter Texan? This would make you a HIT.

The inside is very run down with cabinet doors crooked, etc. etc. The water heater is gone. The stove only half works (top only). Don't have a clue about the AC. or the refer.
But it was free, after all :)
Winter Texan sounds great, but I need to retire first!
