Towing with a Mercedes ML 500

What would be the largest recommended Airstream to pull with a Mercedes ML 500?

Based on a Towing Capacity 5000 lbs. 2007 Mercedes-Benz ML500 Specifications and Standard Equipment at carmax.com

I think a Bambi 16 (GVWR 4300#) or 19 (GVWR 4500#) would be about the maximum airstream trailer that you could safely tow.

My buddy tows a newish 25 with his 350ML. He just luvs the way it tows and handles the easy tow Airstream. The bigger engine in the 500 should be even stronger. The ML Mercedes was talked about earlier in this forum and it got rave reviews. Note it is a pro setup.

First off, welcome to the Forums. We're glad to have you with us.

You can also handle the 17 and 22 Sports.
