Floor anchors

Hello everyone! Glad to see all of you wonderful brothers and sisters on the floor replacement forum, because I have a question! :D

Here's where I am - Shell and belly skin ON, interior skin off, subflooring is out (and whoever came up with 3/4" STAPLES along with the bolts in the C-channel is evil!!). I'm prepping for rust repair on the frame, but have hit a conundrum - what are some recommendations for anchoring the new subfloor to the frame? I am considering self-tapping screws (countersunk).

Oh, and I admit to not wanting to take that belly skin off - it's in darn fine condition and I don't want to mess with that, so think outside of the box for me on this one!!

Thanks for any input!

Looks like you use self tappers,or grow 4' arms. Dave

We used a combo of elevator bolts and self-tapping screws we just put more of them. Bolts on the ends of the sheets and screws in the middle where we couldn't reach. You can see what I mean here, start around post #200.

How about welding nuts in the frame then drilling the floor to match ?

Thank you for the quick responses! InsideOut that picture of the self-tapping screws you linked definitely helped - the floor repair type look better than the ones I've been looking at. Memgrove2000, welding the nut sounds like a great idea in some of those difficult c-channel spots...definitely appreciate the brainstorming!
