That's a open-ended question; what's "fishy"? |
I own a 79 Excella 24ft motorhome What do you want to know about them
|
First question......Is it a diesel? Second question....how many miles?

Mine is a 1979 24ft Excella, it has about 110,000 on the chassis and I installed a remanufactured long block 454 ci with hedders hedder wrap and a 700R-4 tranny the tranny has overdrive and is basicly the same as a 460Le just not electronic. I am getting around 10 to 12 mpg with this setup and it seems to do all that I need. As frar as value from reading what everyone else says on this site that is dependant on many factors.
I have over the years of ownership replace most of the plumbing, the fridge waterfilters heating system tires brakes etc so they are expensive to maintain but they are much fun when you are camping and not stranded on the side of the road waiting for a tow. I can't wait to get back out camping while before gas prices go back thru the roof. I just hope that it doesn't become my primary home. I would be hesatant to even consider less than 20k for it but someone else might look at it and say I'm crazy for asking even that. |
Why not buy mine it's an '82 and I gaurantee not a fishy deal. The history of Chummy is an open public record right here on this forum.

replaced and I'd not take less than 60K. A used AS is no different than any other used coach (other than the "wow" factor), it's hard to put a dollar figure unless paperwork is available. Seems like there was a Excella mo/ho in Phoenix for 5K, which I would figure needed some TLC. |
