Snow and a fair amount of it....

We're suppose to get about a foot tonight and Bambi is outside. I know that the dome vents don't like a bunch of weight on them, especially as they age. Also, this is my first exp with the roof A/C.

Anything I should watchout for to help avoid problems?

Also, while on the subject of the roof, how do you all clean/maintain the roof and rooftop gear? I am really not liking the idea of walking up top. Not that I am scared to, but don't want to damage it. Getting up with my hands from an "A" ladder isn't that easy either.

Cleaning the roof

I use an extension brush on a hose from a ladder alongside.

I started by using a regular stepladder, but I lately have started using my folding ladder that locks in many different shapes. I found that putting it in "scaffold mode" ( /-- \ shape) puts me at a good height to see and reach the roof. The ladder has a long bar on one end that makes it very stable when used in this shape.

Here is something I do with that extenda- brush also.
I wrap a damp rag around it and use it to wax the roof areas that are hard to reach. Then I use a dry rag on it to buff the wax. Works great. In between waxes I use a wash- on wax to help maintain the wax coating on the roof area. So far it has done well, and mine sits under a number of trees that drop all sorts of stuff on it.
