new member What have I got?

My wife told me not to bring anymore rusty projects home, so I got an Airstream for us to work on. It appears to be about 22 ft long. It is a Caravanner with setial # 09227. It seems to be in fair shape and still pulls very good. This will be a winter project for us as we can almost work year round in S Ga. Any help will be greatly appreciated.I think we have an Airstream event in Moultrie, Ga. at the Ag Expo site which is located at an old military base, Spence Field. The base was used to train pilots. We look forward to hear from some of you. Thanks, Maury Jackson mjackson3@alltel.net.

Maury Jacks,
Welcome to the Forums. Winter project or not, come to Falluminum in Hiawassee, GA, October 26-28, 2007. We are at the Georgia Mountain Fairground in Section 1. There are two bath houses with shower facilities. So, if your "new" Airstream is lacking a few amenities, you'll have the facilities available at the campground. You'll meet lots of great people here. There is a motel close by if you want to visit and spend the night, without the trailer in tow.

See thread FALLUMINUM

Your profile shows a 1960 Caravanner, but your serial # says it's a 1957.

O = Ohio built (letter O, not zero)
9227 sequential number ('56 was 9000-9099 and '58 was 9300-9399).

Welcome to the forums. Post lots of pics:D
