Bravura Toilet

Has anyone had any experience installing the new Bravura toilet in a center bath 70's Sovereign?

I just installed one in my 345. The front sticks out more than my old Galaxy. My flange bolts are at 11:00 and 5:00 which made it more difficult. Ideally, the bolts would be at 3:00 and 9:00 since the Bravura has that nice removable panel. Still it went in quickly.

One thing to consider is that the seat cover is longer and bumps into my mirror when flipped up.

potty replacement

Bob, I am interested in that same conversion as I have the same model AS as you do. Could you keep me/us informed of your progress eg. cost, problems etc.? Thanks

Toilet thread

Brouk,
You can view my toilet replacement saga (really simple in hindsight) in the thread "toilet replacement" in the plumbing section. I'm sure the replacement is very simular in your midbath trailer. Good luck, the new Bravara is much cleaner looking than the old yellow "galaxy."

cost

I bought my toilet from the local Camping World on sale (and used my president's club membership) for around $200.00. Installation cost from them was around $60.00. I did it myself for the cost of 4 trips to Home Depot (gas) and about $5.00 in braided pipe. I really was expecting nastyness under the old toilet, but doing it when it's cold (less smell from the tanks), and gloving up eliminated the worrys. It wasn't too bad under the old one, and I cleaned everything while I was there.

As you can see on the center bath, the clearance problem is with the cover on the hot water heater and the edge of the bowl rather than at the rear for the lid. The dimensions for the toilet look as though it would just barely fit. Have not got up the nerve yet to order. Would also like to get the riser that adds xtra height to the bowl as both the wife and are are tall. Saves the lower squat attitude. Will let you know when I take the plunge!
