Okay, here's MY entry for this month, photo taken just for this contest. Remember, nowhere does it say what scale the Airstream has to be.
For those who want to know, it is an HO scale 1966 Ambassador, 1951 Buick, and the locomotive is a GM SW1500:

A day in Arches

This will be my first ever attempt at posting a pic. Nothing Christmasy, just a recent day in Arches park before we parked the Airstream for the winter. We just bought our first 25" ?? 81 Excella 2 back in June. At this point we'd replaced the blue stripe. After we docked it I finished polishing. Right now I'm working on the interior, and should have my new carpet in this week.

Well it looks like that didn't work. I tried the manage attachments button, and selected my pic. When I just tried again it said my file size was too big. Does anyone know how to compress a picture file?

Thanks: Charlie

Charlie:
I'm certainly no expert, but here goes. I have a program called Photosmart on my laptop (there are several diffenrent ones out there). I bring my photos up via that progarm and use the "Edit" function. There I edit the photos to "email" size (about 640x480). Then I do the steps that you used. Voila! Deb won't believe that I gave someone computer instructions.

I'm very new at using a digital camera, and didn't have the photosmart program, but I did have a photo program that came with the camera. After installing it, I was able to edit the size easily. I was able to get the file to upload, so I'll try this again.

Thanks: Charlie

Success! Nice Shot.

Pacerized 12-19-2006 10:44 PM

Thanks for the advice. I thought there would be a way to edit the pic using the standard windows media program, but it looks like this worked fine. That was one great campsite, I have it booked again for our first outing in the spring. It's so rural in that part of Utah that there's no light polution. I've never seen such detail in the night sky. We had a blast climbing on the rocks with the kids, and it's within a short hike to several arches. Not a place to go in the summer though.
