Trans-continental trip
Just returned today from a transcontinental trip which started on August 19th - 10000 miles. No mechanical problems of any type, vehicle performed magnificently on all mountainous and desert locales. Very comfortable. Stopped by Airstream Factory for some nice to do things. Firmly convinced that the Airstream 345 Motorhome is a vehicle to go full-time or long run. While somewhat fat on fuel consumption, there was certainly never a question of too little power. Made the 10,400 foot elevation in the Snowy Range in Wyoming without even heating up. Never ay problems with heating brakes or instability. Ready to go again!

Airtreaming America
Truly a heritage that lives on today,

testimony to the fact that Airtream is for long term living away from the couch.

Congratulations, I am green with envy.

Thanks for the comments. We left SC., up through NC and TENN, over to ARK, up to KS, across KS to COLO., up into WYO., up to Grand Teton, Yellowstone, into IDaho, across OREG to Portand, back Columbia River Gorge . acrpssIdaho, into Montana to Custer BattleField, Mt Rushmore, SD to Corn Palace, then into Minn and the Upper Peninsulla of Michigan, Michigan, to Ohio to the Airstream Factory, on to Philadelphia, and down to Frederick MD, and then home. No doubt, Airstream is an awesome travel vehicle. One Major Point - At no time during our travels did me SEE, or ENCOUNTER another Classic Airstream Motorhome and throuhout our trip people's heads turned and we had many very favorable comments about our vehicle - the best one we can remember is "Does your vehicle have it;s own Zip Code??"

Zip Code
Some of the larger new Airstreams look like they should have their own seat in congress.......
