Does anyone know what this is?

I recently bought this airstream trailer. The seller thought it might be a 1951 or 1952 Flying Cloud, but wasn't sure. Any ideas? It is 21 feet long including the hitch. The number by the door says it is #7126 and was made in California.

I am installing the original windows which the previous owner had removed due to leaks. So far so good, but I am missing a few of the hinges/mechanism that allows the window to open and close. Any suggestions of where to find them? Thanks so much.

My vote is for a 1951 Flying Cloud.... See the link below as to the serial number of this unit vs. your serial number

I hope this helps...

John;
For your window parts try
BLANE WINDOW HARDWARE INC
www.blainewindow.com
They carry a big selection of window parts and operators. Good luck and thats a good looking trailer!

Welcome Nancy. Look forward to more pics. A neat find.
I'm S/N # 7173 and mine is a '51. There's actually quite a few of us '51 Flying Clouds on the forum. Pics of mine here and if you then flip back to the first folder you will see details on '51 Flying Clouds.

Welcome to the forums. My 51 Flying Cloud is 7117. I am in the beginning stages of a complete rebuild. I believe I saw your trailer on ebay awhile back. I think I even emailed the owner wondering if the new owner was going to use the "insides and windows" he said he had. I would have been interested since mine is basically just an aluminum shell. You are in for quite a task, but this forum is great for any information you need.

Sometimes trailers were built in one year and sold during the next which accounts for some confussion. Yours is a 1951 based on Serial Number, especially since it falls in between mine and Barry's.

Thanks so much. The mystery is solved, I have a 1951 Flying Cloud.
