Alumapalooza 10 - Who's going?
We just signed up for the Alumapaloosa 10. We didn't think we could make it this year, but we will be coming back from a trip out west and can. We will be in the Holloway campground away from the factory. There is still about 60 spaces left there. The main area is full, but that won't stop us!
We went last year an had a pretty good time. Lots of great info and friends. So who is going? |
We will be there (RedSHED and Mrs_RedSHED) and are really looking forward to it!

Yep.
Our ninth in a row. |
Alumapalooza 10 - Who's going?
I’ll be there. I’m a first timer and pretty excited. I’ll be in the genny area.
|
We bought our Airstream last summer and will also be attending the Alumapalooza for the first time. It sounds like fun. We are driving out from New Jersey!
|
Planning to be there in our 2010 Interstate. It was several years ago that we attended our first Alumapalooza and had a great time. Glad to be back for the 10th!
|
We're planning on attending from Western Canada. Looking for to it!

Any suggestions for us Alumapalooza virgins? [emoji6]

Go with an open mind - take as much in as possible - but be careful not to overload! There will be too many things to do so don’t expect to do them all. Seminars, people to meet, factory tour, fun events, social hour, prizes, entertainment... makes my head spin just thinking about it. It would be difficult to attend and have a bad time. Weather is a potential factor every year - hot, cold, rainy can make the event challenging but it’s all part of the experience! |

I heard to expect anything out of the weather. Since I’ll have a senior dog and a couple Frenchies, I opted for the generator section. I’m anticipating plenty of info, fun and exhaustion by the end. Thanks for the insight! |

Very much looking forward to this even as we have heard many good things about it. |
weather is not that huge a factor as Ohio begins to settling down by june. Last years was unusually hot and in the 90’s! Generator area is loud and close together but if you need the cool, that is where to go!

Just looked at registering for this event coming as a spectator for one day.
Rather surprised at the cost for a ticket for one day of $95.00/day. I then looked at the camping +1 ticket is priced at $450.00. Awful expensive camping for 3-4 days and yes I know that gives you admission to the event HOWEVER that still appears to "ME" to be an awfully EXPENSIVE rally to attend at the mother ship or not! What am I missing here? |
We are registered in Factory gennie area and really looking forward to it. However, we'll be there only if the interior renovation on our '88 345LE is finished in time. After a year and a half it's nearly complete, but still some complicated work yet to be done. We're fortunate that we can visit JC most anytime as it's so close to our home, but this looks so fun and interesting that we don't want to miss it.

We are going as well. If there would be an award for least distance traveled, I believe we would get it the years we have attended. Fortunately we live about 5 miles from the factory; closer once the new one is finished. We will be in the generator section as well. This being due to us having two dogs and the temps that were experienced at last years event. If anyone from previous post, or in the future, gets in a bind, feel free to contact us for some local assistance. We will arrive on opening day of early arrival and come and go based on the weather and such.

We'll be there. Dogs + gennie + tempstick. Can't wait to see all those rigs backing into close quarters :wally:
|
We'll be there.

Anyone hear how Jackson Center is drying up?
I'm starting to wonder if they are going to offer a limited edition pontoon upgrade for those of us with Factory sites this year :D |
We stopped by the factory last Thursday after the approximately 6" of rain overnight to see if anyone needed anything or any help. It seemed that all staying in the terra port were fine. I did see one person drying out their surge protector. Since then the water has went down in the area but there has continued to be some rain, overcast skies, and cooler temperatures. I will be heading into town tomorrow and will see what the area looks like. Forecast for the next few days calls for increasing temperatures, but 30-40% chance of rain Wed. and Thurs . It looks like this years event will be cooler than last years (Good thing), but a bit on the soggy side (Not a good thing).

I've been watching the weather and there is a chance that all this mess we have out west will be moving east with the jet stream and may bring 90's and hi humidity to Ohio during this time.
If so, I'm gonna get the entire overflow camping area where we are staying together to agree on generator running. I do not want to go thru what we did last year with 95-degree temps and high humidity. We roasted for 6 days! Our poor dog lived in front of a fan! |
