Wires to nowhere

When I removed an outlet box in my center bath, I looked inside the wall and found two wires (white and yellow) just sitting there not connected to anything. They had exposed wire, as if they had been connected to something at some point. I have no idea what to do with them.

Would a yellow and white wire be connected for anything?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Wires

No idea what it might have been, but the white is a ground wire and the yellow is 12v. You should see a yellow wire coming from one of the 12v circuit breakers. In most cases, a circuit services a number of things in the same general area of the trailer.

Did you check with a meter or light to see whether the circuit is hot? Someone may have disconnected it elsewhere.

Also, in my trailer, there are whole connectors that are unused because the trailer was never initially wired according to the wiring diagram. It's possible the wires go nowhere.

Thanks, John.

Maybe I'll just put them back and act like I never found them...

In our 77 center bath we had a 12VDC outlet and a 120 Volt outlet. The 12 VDC one looks like a cigarette lighter, these wires could have been for that if you are missing the 12 VDC one.:p
