Electrical Questions
1 Attachment(s)
Hi, I have a 1985, 345 MH that I am trying to solve some electrical problems on. I don't have 12v to the air comp., refer, seats, etc when the ign switch is in the run or acces. position. I have been using an airstream MH service manual dated 1987-1989, it shows a relay which power a bus bar with a bunch of circuit breakers that put power to these accessories so that they are powered by the alternator and eng. batt. when driving.

Question? Does my 1985 345 have this relay and circuit breakers?
If so where is it? If not where do these accessories draw power from when driving? Do the draw power thru the ign switch?

The manual I have is called: Owners-Service Manual, Motor Home 1987/1988
It was printed by Airstream and is a very complete service manual.

Is a similar manual available for 1985?

I will try to attach a copy of page H6 from the manual showing the set-up I am talking about.

Thanking you in advance, I am Sincerly, John

Here are a couple of links to the 84 to 86 owners and service manuals for the 310, 325 and 345 models.

Itís in the front hatch engine bay on mine. Look high up near driver wiper motor. Suggest you check the grounds on the solenoid or even replace it. Cheap fix and that would either solve it or rule that out.

Also, run the test procedure in the Surepower blue fin isolator. Procedure probably in manuals Brad posted. Straightforward test and will rule that in or out. Check your grounds. You should be able to follow the current from your batteries through to that 12v bar and solenoid
