Aluminum Walls
I am considering trading for a new Safari SE. A concern that I have is the aluminum walls and ceiling. I was looking at one at a local dealer and the ceiling seemed pretty hot in the summer Texas sun (the air conditioner was not on). It occurred to me that the interior may be much hotter in the summer and much colder in the winter than a regular Safari. For those of you with Safari SE's or CCD's, have you found this to be a problem?

We've looked at the SEs and CCDs on hot days and the interior walls don't seem to get too warm. They have the same insulation as the other trailers.

Well it stands to reason that it would make sense that the wall coverings found in the Classics are going to provide some additional R value to the walls. Especially the carpet type lower wall covering and the ceiling covering. I've often wondered the same thing regarding whether the bare walls would radiate a tad more of the outside temps.

One thing for sure though, the blinds only or roller window shade type coverings allow much more cold to radiate off of the glass. The double window shades and curtains found in the Classics probably do the best job in minimizing the cold.
