Headed for N. Florida
 

Soon, I'm headed for N. central FL. I'm looking for a shop who is recommended for AS electronics upgrades. Specifically: inverter, charger, battery monitor, converter.

Mine is a 2017 FC with solar.

I hard good reports about JDSANDERS Airstream in Gainesville. A couple of good posts about the Airstream dealer in Tampa. Good luck.

Then again all the things on your list could be done by you if you have the time. None are terribly difficult.

He might be too far south for you but member Lewster (AM Solar) winters in south Florida. Sure someone here knows how to contact him.

My local solar company installed equipment which I specified. A beautiful job and at a great price. I had to source the equipment and they ordered it all except the batteries, but they did install the batteries for me. Located in Pensacola, Florida.

My first pick would be Lewster of course. As you say he might be too far south.

JD is only 60 miles south of where I'm head so that will work.

For starters, I think I'm in the market for a Progressive Dynamics power supply and MUCH better way to monitor the battery state(s). If this is something I can do myself, sure why not? I'm pretty handy with things however am not great with electronics.

What is it they say? A man must know his limits ;)

I have been using Sanders since I bought my Classic in May at a dealer in South FL. I couldn't be happier with the way that I'm treated. They are professional, courteous, prompt and knowledgeable. And no, I don't work for them.
I recommend them highly.

Lewstar, can you recommend anyone for the OP? But equally as important, are you doing some work while in our state? I for one would gladly drive a few hours if you could open up a shop in Florida.

I HAVE a shop in Naples where I do solar installations (and other Airstream work) while here (Nov 1 - April 30).

I have many appointments already, but I'm always open for more (especially in March/April)!

Lewster did the full Monte for me last Spring. Excellent job performed to highest professional standards. I just love my solar rig.

Thanks. I have contacted them with what I need done. If I'm living right they can do the work while I read a book in some nearby hotel for a day or two.

Lew did a full installation on my 25' Flying Cloud last March in Naples. 26,000 miles later, i can report he did a marvelous job. He is a great guy, has a great shop and does great work. We can even run the air conditioner for an hour during lunch stops on the road.
