SeeLevel Retro Fit

I have given up on my tank monitoring system. Has anyone out there retrofitted a new SeeLevel system in their Airstream? I have a 2006 25FB and was wondering.

Specifically, can you use the existing wiring? If so, then the cost would be only for the control panel and then the labor to stick the gauges to the sides of the tanks.

I am sure I am probably missing something here. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has done this and what I might expect a shop to charge.

Thanks,

Dick

Following. I plan to do this retrofit in the spring.

I didn't do our conversion myself, but the shop that did reused the existing wiring as needed. They were in the middle of a pretty large renovation project, so access to the outside of the tanks was pretty easy for them. I went with the 709 p3, which doesn't have the LP sensor. Not sure if that's wireless or not, but the battery/tanks reused the existing wires. Good luck, I've been very happy with the new system's operation and like the simplicity of the display. The new readout panel was ever so slightly smaller that the original MicroPulse, but not enough difference for me to want to modify the existing wall plate (meaning the new plate is mounted on top of the old part that's in the wall).

This is a good thread on the retrofit, with several contributors.

Thanks for the information guys. Now I know it can, and has been done. Next up will be looking into costs. I doubt I want to do this myself but only because of having to cut into the belly.
