and if I recall correctly, Elaine won the much coveted title of "Cork Mistress" at last year's wine-guzzling rally. ;)

Cork Mistress and Master

Actually, Earl won the Corkmaster a few years ago, then Elaine outdid him last year and won the award! It's in the family it seems.

Here's a wine-testing website to help you out... :whistling

Chuck 07-11-2005 01:39 PM

Ok, ok...the "guzzling" was mostly me. :o

everyone else was extremely propper and refined. (even if they were drinking alcoholic beverages in public out of a paper bag). :whistling

I must have missed/misplaced the sign up sheet!

Leon and I plan to attend this rally. I'll see if the sign up sheet is on the New England Unit website.

As a rule, you will never find sign-up sheets on the Internet as most people don't like their contact information advertised on the web. You can find the sign-up sheets in two places:

1) Contact the host thru telephone, PM or email
2) In the Quipper newsletter

myboyburt 07-11-2005 02:29 PM

Thanks!

I'm looking in my personal email to see if I got the "soft" copy of the Quipper right now (I really should read my inbox on a more regular basis).

Thanks Gail for helping me out with this thread. Great job. The rally will be held at the Minuteman Campground in Littleton MA. In addition to the tour of the local winery and visit by Rick (with the Italian wines) there is lots to do in the area. Check the Quipper for the coupon so wonderfully done by Yukionna for more details. Our co-hosts are the forum famous muddy_hollow so it will be a guaranteed good time!!!!

myboyburt 07-11-2005 06:40 PM

Yeah! This Rally Looks Fab!

This is a beautiful area of Massachusetts. My folks have stayed in this campground in their Airstream MH and really enjoyed it. Very clean and well run plus they have free WIFI in certain areas of the main building (yippee!).

I printed the sign up sheet provided in the "soft" copy of the Quipper, wrote out the check and it's waiting to go to the post office tomorrow. Thanks again Gail for ensuring I do not miss out on any of the New England Unit's fun!

The NE unit web site doesn't give any way to sign up for this rally. . No contact information and I am not getting the Quipper. This information is available for other Region One Units events online. Are members other than those who belong to the New England Unit welcome? If so how does one sign up.

Thank you.

Elaine L 07-12-2005 06:30 AM

Chuck are you guys interested in coming? I put you down (in pencil of course) in case the answer is no.

Everyone is welcome at this event, even those who don't have vintage! Just kidding. The event is open to the general community and we welcome everyone.

If you have any questions about the rally, area or suggestions for the menu please let me know.
