holes in panels
I'm remodeling 1987 airstream sovereign and wanted get some feedback on how to fill holes in the panels before I paint? Thanks

If they are just screw holes put a round head screw in them and paint over.

If they are larger I have used blank ivory 2x4 electrical covers. painting is your option depending on color differences. They go unnoticed.

Artwork, you need artwork. Pin striping was developed to salvage chipped or scratched expensive paint. Maybe? It could certainly be an interesting way to draw the eye away from the holes. Always thought a riveted patch to be an acceptable utilitarian solution, but the suggested electrical cover plate is certainly more elegant. Used a mirror to cover a door hole once. Always need a full length mirror to check the cut of your jib. :) Pat

I use rivets in open holes when possible.

Hey Tmorris,
Because I had removed the panels for restoration, I put a piece of duct tape on the back side and filled the front with auto body filler. Sand and paint. If you don't have the panels off just stick a rivet in the hole and paint.
