Where Is This?

1 Attachment(s)
"WHERE IS THIS?" will be a fun quiz about different photo shots from around North America. This will be a test to see if you absorb all that fantastic scenery while you are traveling.

Rules:

You may post a photo, and you should give some hint as to the location. (left, right, up, down, center or bullseye, Left of bullseye, etc.

It will be up to you to confirm a correct answer.

If the photo is not identified within 7 days you should then divulge the location for everyone to appreciate.

A poster will win with the general location of the photo but actual location (highway number, etc) will get extra bragging rights.

We will start this today and see if it has any entertainment value. :innocent:

Dave

The attached photo is on the left coast.

Remax gal 11-25-2013 06:16 AM

Looks like it could be Mt. Baker?

Belegedhel 11-25-2013 08:02 AM

I'm thinking Mt. Ranier--maybe I am recognizing the "Disappointment Cleaver" formation on that ridge.

polarlyse 11-25-2013 08:11 AM

My vote is Mt. Hood, Oregon

wayneskid 11-25-2013 08:14 AM

Mt. Hood? Viewed from the South.

Mt. Shasta?

masseyfarm 11-25-2013 10:41 AM

YOU ARE THE WINNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pat yourself on the back and have another cup of coffee.

We were traveling north on #89 from Reno to Mt Shasta in Oct, 2009 at the time.

You are right. That was our maiden trip in 2009 with our1958 Flying Cloud and 1958 Cadillac. We went from Boise ID to the Coast and back without WD. We change that situation right after that trip. Since the we pulled the FC over 12K miles with the Cadillac.

Our new TV is a 1992 Oldsmobile. Have towed with it about 6000 miles in the last 2 years.

FAN,
The Morris in my Avatar crossed the Alexandra Bridge in 1950, bringing my grandparents back east after retiring to but being lonely in Victoria. I took some family photos on the bridge in 1990. In 1990, Spuzzum was in significant decline, which probably satisfied the government since it was a reminder of one of the worst decisions ever carried out on the citizens of a country. I would guess by your generosity, it has not improved.
Now, in the spirit of the prize giving, if you toss in Miss Know it All, and promise not to tell my wife, I would be happy to spend some time in Spuzzum, perhaps discovering a few old artifacts. Jim

Your phone booth hint and knowing that Alexander Graham Bell lived in Brantford reminded me of the time I was looking for a new pair of boots at a Tack shop on Colborne St in Brantford and then stumbling across this flea market that needed visiting. Fun thread, I'll try this landmark.

Clues.

1. East of the Mississippi.
2. Has the same name as a more well known similar (?) site.
3. Cannot be seen from the road.

I'm requiring that the state is part of the correct answer. Pic's are of the same landmark, just different views.
