Storage bin and container solutions?
 

Well - Ron and I are outfitting our new AS (2011 27FB International Serenity) and finding storage bins and/or containers that fit the curved areas have been tough - actually, impossible - hence this topic.

With storage real estate in the AS at a premium, I want to utilize each square inch that I can (we'll be full-timing). I have found a couple of stackable gizmo's that have slide out drawers, which I've put in the only spot that has any length to speak of (the top pantry cabinet). I'm especially struggling with the 3 overhead areas (above galley, dinette and bed).

What have you all done maximize a minimal amount of storage space? Particularly in the galley, the overhead areas and those of your with a 2-door wardrobe (I bought a closet organizer only to find out it was way too long!) For things I use daily, I want easy access...all the rest will go under the bed or in our TV.

Same with me: lots of plastic storage baskets neatly arranged like jigsaw pieces in the overhead cabinets.

Out of necessity to manage the appearance of items behind the "see through" sliding doors on the upper storage areas, we found a large selection of storage solutions at the Container Store. Not sure if this is what you have in mind or not (see attached photos). Also, we found a solution there that has pegs that hold the cups and glasses in place (sorry but don't have a photo of these).

Kari's, the curved cabinets are a challenge. In the front we store our towels, bed linens and small stuff. In the rear we are trying short open baskets. I found some 6qt. containers at Target that stack nicely in the wardrobe closets.

On motorcycles and other challenging storage places I used thin fabric bags. But you would need to have someone sew if you can't

For small items and easy access, I bought clear plastic over the door shoe holders at wall mart ($6-7 I think). Mounted inside closet door. Had to trim to fit (lopped off one side row and the bottom row), but they are perfect for small tools, flashlights, device chargers, clothespins, clips and hooks--and even shoes! Stuff you might keep in a "junk drawer"--so much better.
