Air levelling valves and Shocks
On my 32.5 there are 2 air leveling valves. Dose anyone know why Airstream used 2 when one valve should do the job all of the trucks with air suspension only use one valve.

Also anybody have a part number for the shock absorbers on the trailing axle mine are so rusty I can't find any numbers

Independent suspension control is always better than a single control for both sides. Be happy you have two. :)

I have owned and driven many types of trucks and buses and the rear suspensions always have two controls. I supose with more electronics, one control could do it, but the two height control valves are simple to work on, and inexpensive to replace.

This diagram seems to show that either valve will fill or deflate the bags.

The "T" at the top of the page that feeds the low pressure switch would equalize the bag pressure unless it incorporated check valves of some sort. Unfortunately there is no indication of that.

I have no clue why Airstream would do this.

I can see one potential advantage to having two valves, if one fails the other will at least keep the back end somewhat level. Of course if the valve valve fails in the release air position that would defeat the purpose.

Like Dan said, I've got no clue why two are used. Our 310 only has one and it's mounted near the center of the rig.

Has anyone got a part number for the shocks on the tag axle. Mine are so rusty that I can't find any numbers or make.
