Corner Double Bedspread for 23D Serenity

Has anyone created a new bedspread?
Our unit is the Serenity and the bedspread that comes with it is so vanilla bland and polyester ugly.

Would ultimately love to have a new one.
Is there any company out there that has them ready made?
I would imagine having one made with your own fabric could be pricey.

Thanks

Isn't vanilla bland a part of the zenlike serene decor of this model? Just add a coordinating throw blanket and pillows with some simple color and design, you would be looking pretty good.

The Serenity may be one of the most pleasant RV interiors you'll ever see.

Thanks doug. I guess I need a little pop. Will do it with throw pillows.
How do you get your photo under your name on left side?

We too were not fond of the material used for the Serenity bedspread. We put the original in storage (for a future owner) and marched off to a local Marshals for a cotton replacement. We had the new one cut to size and the edges bound by a local seamstress. The entire project was less than $50.

I think Doug is correct with his advice on adding color with accents though. Our new spread is essentially the same color as the original. I will try to remember to get a picture tomorrow when it is made up...

We like down comforters and soft high thread count sheets so we just bought a Duvet and have a summer weight down comforter and a winter weight one. The some pillows and a thin bed spread to use as a bed skirt.

Great ideas. Send pictures. I am visual. Thanks so much.
How do you insert pictures?

The good thing about the comforter it comes with is that its SO plastic that if any condensation drips from the fan above, it rolls off like a duck's back.

I am looking into pillows as we speak.

BLMITCH5, I'm impressed with how neat and tidy your bed looks. How the heck do you make it without having to kneel on it and wrinkle the spread? Do you levitate??

Lol almost! Make the bed while your in it, tuck the side next to the wall, slide out, smooth the top and put the pillows on. :) Lots of people complain about making the corner bed but once you get the hang of it it's pretty easy. The pillows make it comfy to read or watch a movie.

If your on an iPad or phone just got to the advanced button at the top right corner and chose attach from photos or if on a pc, when you post a reply go to advanced and then hit the paper clip and choose your photo. Pretty simple once you figure out where to go.

Making the bed partially while you are in it is brilliant.

Here's another corner bed question;
I am in the midst of making throw pillows but hubby is against it cause we dont really have any place to put them when we go to bed.
Every inch of the place is taken.
Where do you put YOUR gorgeous pillows when you get ready for bed?

OK, trying to attach photo, but not using iPhone nor ipad. I have a MAC.
Will try now....if you dont see a photo, I messed up.

We put the bed throw pillows on the somewhat useless bench seat below the TV at bedtime.

We put ours under the table at night, we might have too many but I do like them while we're watching tv. :) Good Job with the picture!

Its like a puzzle in that 23'. You really have to designate every inch of the place for something. Still trying to organize the cabinet under the sink. It being circular makes for odd storage.

Thanks blmitch5 and dkottum!

Put the most often used stuff in front. Various size clear plastic storage boxes, bins keep things orderly and in place going down the road.

Are you talking about under the sink?

Still not sure how to use this site, so this may not get to you.

We use plastic boxes in all storage compartments to organize and keep orderly. Under the sink with the waste basket, and a few kitchen items, there really isn't much space and you don't want to push your plumbing around, but a couple of bins may be useful here.

We leave our trailer fully equipped for travel when not using it, but take absolutely all food out of it to discourage mice, insects, and spoilage.

Hi, I have a 19" Bambi with same type of bed. We purchased used. The PO did not include the bedspread. I have a question...I see from photos the spread is basically two parts, the flat top part, and the fitted side piece that follows the contour of the bed. Does that side contoured piece go all around the bed or just on the side of the bathroom and foot of bed? I looked into buying a replacement and it was $500.00 plus, I will be making my own.

Also at night, do you take the fitted comforter completly off, or just pull it back. I like the tailored look. Thanks for your help. I heard a Robin outside today so we are getting closer to camping season!

On ours we have a twin down comforter and cover with only a flat sheet and the thin grey blanket is for looks and dogs :) but on the wall side I just tuck it all in. Hence the reason I make it while I'm still in it :) it's pretty easy and I keep thinking of having the blanket cut down but it's worked for two years. Let me know how your cover turns out.
