A bit late but might be helpful. In response to your 11/18 GMC MPG request. I own a 2015 HD Denali 3/4 T 4X4 Duramax Crew Cab standard box Truck. Bought new & currently has 5,500 miles. Up front, by far the best truck I have ever pulled with.
Snow birding between AZ & CO & pulling a 2000 34' A/S over high mountain passes during 2 round trips I got 13.2 MPG, both times. These trips covered about 1000 miles each. During mixed travel without the A/S, I get between 13 & 18.1 MPG depending on urban street & highway traveling. If driving consistently under 65 MPH, I see 18 to 19 MPG in AZ & slightly less at Colorado higher altitudes.
The truck is awesome! It has much more power than needed & can hold back 10,600 lbs. down hill without using the brakes. I would buy this truck again & again. If there were a negative, it would be cost, size in town & parking.
After a 32 Federal career with NHTSA & well aware of MV safety stats, I consider it money well spent for family safety.
Good luck.
