I was reading your post about adding a heat pump to your 69 AS. I was amazed to say the least. I have a guy lined up to look at my 69 Sovereign Armstrong Bay Breeze. I assume we have the same unit. It sounds like it may make sense to put a heat pump in mine because I need a new Heater anyway and that would cost me big bucks so why not do this and forget a new heater (Your thoughts?). I would love to talk to you on the phone about the matter if that's possible. I would like to discuss the cost of the job that would have to be hired out and the expected long term use of doing the job.
When you get a chance, text me back at 630-802-7653 when and if you can call me or shoot me a email at jerrybowgren@gmail.com.
Thanks for your time and I sure look forward to talking to you.

[QUOTE=Scoutx;2010387]Note A.O. Smith has been bought out the new designation for this motor is the RAL1006.

Note this motor spins CCW from the end of the motor where the leads go into the case. I accidently mounted mine upside down since the extra of the case bolts stuck out the other side making it perfect for mounting to the base plate. So I would suggest that you either:
1) reverse the direction of the case bolts one at a time
2) remove the whole rotor assembly...
