Hi Barry your 2011 trip sounds like a blast from past. Phyllis is still working thus keeping me in the style to which i have become accustomed to, so a long trip in 2011 is not in the cards however we will spend a month or so on our acreage near Sumner lake New Mexico have to put in an access road at any rate if your headed east through Ponoka Ab. give us a call I can park one rig in yard but not five however the local Legion can park up to 80 units at a time for free. Love to here from you Bill & Phyl

hola again. wondering if you or yours know about these old thrones? ive got one w/ a poop blender! in it!!! i don't even know how it flushes and haven't found any info old enough in the forums... Remembered you had 1, and some of your mates. what can i do? i DON'T want the blender, yucko, can they be adapted to modern plumbing? the porcelain is comfy and pretty, and well, classy for a potty, BUT....

As for personal freedoms... don't be envious of the U.S. for long. We're well on our way to becoming France. Thanks for the note and take care.

Thanks! we would love to hook up w/ those 'camp-outs' next summer. this one is already occupied w/ my son's bar mitzvah preparations down south... Also I look forward to a personal tour too, as we go up to canada quite frequently, usually. Last year we did a job up in blaine and spent alot of time at a super yummy bakery; i dont remember what it was called, but they made amaretto cookies! i have pics of the 57 i could email you, and a few of the 51 but i just took it all apart... p.s. i dont have the 58 YET.

We live 15 minutes north of the Blaine Truck Crossing so if you get up this way we can show you the trailer. We do quite a bit of our camping around Desolation Sound and Port Townsend, so if we are heading south I'll pop you an email and maybe we can tow past if you are near those areas. Your towing your trailer with your '58 would fit right in with us Dina. Our friends are both redoing FC's, a '51 towed by a 54 Ford wagon and a '53 towed with a '57 Pontiac. They are both just at the starting process. Did your '51 come out of the Concrete, WA area a couple of years ago? Got any pictures of your trailers? Are you aware of the TCT camp out at Mission, BC (just north of Sumas 20 minutes) the first weekend in June and the WBCCI Vintage Airstream camp out at Hazelmere, so basically just north of the border at Blaine by 8 blocks, in August? If you need more info on either let me know. Barry

By the way, Dina, you have the trailer year and model I coveted big time for many years and could not find. I dearly wanted a 57 Safari Airstream to tow behind my 57 Pontiac Safari wagon. Just couldn't find one that was not trashed beyond my abilities to repair and when the '51 Flying Cloud came along it was in good enough shape to warrant a rebuild. I suppose if the right '57 came along though I might have to have "the chat" with Donna and see if I could convince her WE needed the '57 as well. I don't think I could sell the '51 and sleep at night though. Take care, Barry

Dina, thank you for the kind comments. We enjoy our vintage cars and the wagon has been a favourite for 30 years. My wife enjoys driving it and it is the preferred Airstream tow vehicle. There are more pictures of our trailer at this website and if you would like more I can forward them easily enough. Take care, Barry
