Hey Wilmington, You may or may not know this, but the calcium is dissolved in the water and the heat brings it out. The solution- soften the water. I know this sounds extreme, but it is not all that complicated. I now teach school and live about 35 miles west of Wilmington (Lake Waccamaw), but I have been in the water business all my life. I have some softening resin that I will give you and you can buy a very small tank with an in/out head (that means no automatic backwash). No more water than you use in a camper, you can backwash it manually. Sounds complicated, but that is how you prevent calcium deposits. If you want to talk about it, email me at philmac1951@gmail.com . Phil Mac
