Is your friend's 25' safari still for sale? My wife and I are new to the airstream world and this site. I saw a forum you posted about it; however, since I am new to the site it will not allow me to send a personal message. How do I send you my contact information without broadcasting it over this site? How do I contact you?

Our names are Jimmy Ahn and Pat Terry. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The accident happened on October 31, 2008 and we had a new trailer purchased by mid-November 2008. We took delivery in December. I knew that our ins co would not be able to give an equitable estimate, so I had AS create a quote from the 30 photographs that I sent to Randy. The ins co could not argue with the manufacturer repairing estimate and settled with the higher amount that we were seeking. It all worked out, but I had to do the job of the ins adjuster. It was intense, but it got better, just like it will for you. Any prospects for the new trailer?

I do know Saluda, was through there not too long ago, had a dear friend in Tryon. She is no longer with us.
The ins. co's have been a real trying experience. We did not accept their first offers, as they were based on NADA and that was very low. We did finally settle when after several higher offers we were worn down and since they did come pretty close to replacement values, we settled. Now we are looking for another trailer and truck. We still go to WBCCI rallies in our Coastal Sotuh Carolina unit, as we have many friends in the club. It has been quite emotional, which certainly helps heal and we are getting better. Do you have a new Airstream now? If so, how long did you wait?

OMG! Thank you for your kind words. Our 30' pulled us over...and over....still very emotional to think about... I am amazed that you were in the same area when you had your accident. We are very careful and watch out for semi's, moving over as far as possible, but in this case, we never had a chance. If you read Kevins take on the accident, he is mostly correct. The people behind us were affected in their small car going 70 when the semi passed them. In talking with the tow co. they said it happens there all the time and yet SC does not have a lower speed limit for semi's! which are reckless and put peoples lives in jeopardy. I believe we need to write to the state!
I am glad you both were ok, too. This has been very emotional for us, I am still not a good rider, especially on the interstate. If you go up and down 95, we are 10 mi. from exit 8 in SC near Hilton Head and have 30AMP available for "streamers"
