NatchezBear, I was just reading a blog that you were on way back in Aug 2008. You mentioned your serial # to be 26T0278............... interesting, I think mines a 1961 Overlander, but who knows, my serial # is 26T0277. For what it's worth I feel like I found a long lost family member.....Thx, Bill Murphy ( member Arbutuscotta)

    NatchezBear,
My Overlander does not have a dinet. It has a gaucho. I have the original folding table, but it needs to be restored.

Thanks for the encouragement guys. I have been polishing the front (as it faces the street) and can hardly get much work done for all the folks stopping to chat. Its almost as if some alien ship landed in my drive way and everyone is curious as if they never saw a AS before. I dont see any others around town, so I guess it is unique.Im a lil blue today cause its raining and I cant play As today
I have made a few new friends who I hope can help me I know nothing about AS's. I have lots...

As I traveled across the south hauling my 48 year old Airstream home to Natchez, People said some rude things........Let me share!

"You'd better set off some bug bombs in there"

"You can park in the back or in the lot next door"

"Well!...... THAT'S seen better days"

"You drove all the way from South Carolina on THOSE tires"

"They actually let YOU... park THAT......

This past week I finally did it, I bought a 1960 Overlander on Ebay. I drove 800 miles to South Carolina nabbed this jewel from out of the woods and camped in her all the way back home. The weather was a real bear as it stormed for two days as I made my way across South Carolina, Georgia,Alabama and Florida.
When I hit Pensacola the weather finally cleared up. I decided to take back roads and four lane hwys on the way home as I had 3 maypop tires and no electric brakes. I tried...

it looks great and will look better. I drove a rat bike 20 or so years ago and now it would be a classic (if I still had it)
