I don't have a smart plug. I have the original Marinco setup. A few simple rules have assured me I'll have no problems. First among them is to insure the electricity is off.

I currently use a Weigh Safe hitch an have found it to be more than satisfactory thus far. The truck is a new SD 350 with diesel and it's hard to imagine the trailer getting the best of the truck. Having said that I've ordered a ProPride 3P as we have some longer cross country trips planned this year and I know from experience how quickly things can get out of control - sway, side winds, sudden maneuvering. My 28 Int Signature weighs 970 on the ball - it's the heaviest of the Airstreams from that perspective. I think you'll be good with the Equalizer - it's more than capable of handling your 25.
