    Hello Ronnie,

    We are getting our new Caravel 22 FB in about a month. I posted about in towing about equalizer E4 and someone recommend I contact you about 3" lift for my airstream. I am also interested in changing over to Lithium batteries.

    Hey Ronnie;
    We have a new to us 2017 FC 25RBT and would like to talk with you about a few upgrades. We're in central FL, but visit Auburn a few times a year for family. Upgrades we're interested in your thoughts on:
    1. Li battery and solar upgrade (we currently have 2 6V golf cart batts, 240AH);
    2. Tow vehicle update for Li batts; We have a 2015 RAM 1500.
    3. Maint items: Roof reseal, door/window seal check and adjustments, skylight inspection
    4. Replacement of absorption fridge with electric (if viable with batt/solar upgrade)

    We'd like to be able to easily stay at State Parks / Nat Parks for the length of time our holding tanks can manage without power hookups. Right now that's about 4 days, 3 nights. We have no intentions of winter camping, and no illusions of running the AC off Batt power.

    Thanks!
    David

    Hi, in a comment you posted about having installed inverters in the 30ft bunks... with the island bed. I was curious when you are pulling 2 - 6/4 bundles of cable did that feed through easily or did you have to drop belly pans to assist with the pull? thanks so much!

    Ronnie, I will be in your area on Dec 4, a Saturday. Was wondering if you could modify my front door latch as I saw you did? I’m not as mechanically inclined as you. Thank you Jen Rettig, Forums as VeeVee.

    Good morning, we discussed recently having you do the lift and install of (2) easy starts. I sent a message (linked onto our prior ones) a few days ago about your schedule. Please let me know if you received it. Thanks

    Hi Ronnie, I'm planning early. I'll be picking up my Classic 33 in late June next year. Looking to have a lift kit and adding some solar/lithium batteries/inverter. I know this is far in advance but would like to get on your schedule for next year if at all possible. I'm at nick_j_hayes@hotmail.com and 908-338-4622. Live in Davidson NC. Look forward to chatting with you.

    I was discussing upgrading my 2016 Airstream Interstate from AGM to Lithium and a friend mentioned you might be someone to do the work. I do not want to upgrade the electronics or solar, just the BIM and add 4 Battleborns in the rear under the rig where the AGM's are currently mounted. As I am not clear about how to install a lithium compatible BIM to protect the Sprinter Alternator, and as I need a vehicle lift to get under the rig to change the batteries, this is not a do-it-yourself job for me. Is this something you would do. I am in Key Largo, Florida but likely out your way in the early spring (April). Thanks much - AIJoe here on Airforums, or joechaarrisjr@icloud.com. In this section of our series on solar power, we will discuss the installation of the first half of the solar system. We are going to put our plan into action and install the rooftop components of the system. The rooftop components will consist of the Renogy Solar panels we purchased, a combiner box, wires to carry the power the panels produce to the controller, and a panel disconnect switch.

In the first 3 sections, we covered What Is Solar Power, What Parts Are Needed, and...

If you’ve been following along through Parts 1 and 2 of this series then you should be ready for Part 3: how much solar do I need?

We will discuss sizing your solar system to meet your power consumption needs. Properly sizing your components and assessing your power usage will ensure your solar system meets your needs. This topic can be very in-depth and complicated. I will do my best to be informative and not overcomplicate things.

Buying a couple of solar panels and...

Well, here we go. You have made the decision that solar is right for you and you are ready to get started. Jumping into the solar world headfirst can be like trying to swim in quicksand. With so much technology and so many different products out there, it can get overwhelming fast. In this article (Part #2), we will break down a basic solar charging system into the components needed and what function they play in the overall system.

First, let’s make a list of what components that...

I am going to make an effort at tackling the huge topic of solar. Solar is a relatively simple system that is often complicated to the point that people believe it to be above the average DIY person’s skill level. I do not believe that to be true. I believe that with basic electrical skills anyone can install a functioning solar charging system if they deem it necessary. For your safety, if you do not have a basic understanding of electricity or electrical systems, please enlist the help of a professional....
