    So sorry - I've only just noticed that you posted this comment on our profile! I hope a two month delay isn't too much..

    We own a European 684 International. The European models are designed specifically with European tow-cars (and European road laws!) in mind. The nose weight (or hitch weight) is 110 - 150kg (approx 220 - 350 lbs) - a fraction of the US models. Overall weight is about 2.3 tonnes (which works out at a little over 5000 lbs.

    The LR3 is perfect for it. We have the '05 SE (2.7 litre V6 Deisel) There isn't an "ordinary" European 4x4 capable of lifting the huge nose weights of the post 1970 US models. And all EU cars are limited to towing 3500kg (approx 7,700 lbs) maximum.
