Hi Ralph,
You posted on one of my forums back in May. I have the 25ft. Safari with the pitting on the front. Just referred back to your thread........we took her to Jackson Center 2 weeks ago for some work.........they looked at the front. How ironic! The first thing they asked, was if it had been to Alaska? I thought what an odd question. The fellow has worked their for 40 years, and has Airstreams, vintage ones himself. He commented, no seriously. He said it was rock/pebble chips. When I went back to my thread I recalled you said yours had an Alaska sticker on it. wow! We don't know for sure if she has been there, but do know she has been travelled in greatly. Not stored for life! I was disappointed to hear that it probably is permanent. They are actually tiny dings, bummer! We are going to a rally in September, here in ohio, and letting P & S trailer service take a look at her. The fellow at Airstream, suggested using the "pink" walbernize, and re-clearing her ourselves. Said it would look better. So we are going to ask P & S, if they will just shoot the front of her with clear. Atleast it will be better protected, so it won't get any worse. My husband doesn't mind as much as me, says she has been used. Oh well! Other than that, she is a beauty. Love your picture of your Airstream. Similiar to ours, we have cherry hard wood floors, and retro modern updated decor. Nice chatting with you! -wishsilver
