    ondaroadagin — If you have any trouble locating a teardrop amber light, I have one I bought when a tree limb damaged ours, but I never used it (had the work done at an Airstream place).

    I paid $18 for it. You can have it for that, if you like, plus the postage.

    I thought I'd hang on to it, just in case, but I think now I will hope for good luck with tree limbs in the future (since I have cut down the offending tree!).

    I could not get into the damaged lamp itself. The new light comes with the amber lens separate. You mount the light base, then click the lens in place. Once you do that, the lens can't be removed.
