Hello there, We recently purchased a 1974 31' Sovereign that was remodeled. I must say your remodel looks great. Nice work. Given that we are coming up to winter though, I was wondering if you have any tips or direction that you might be able to supply regarding winterizing the unit? We live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada and it gets cold up here in the winter time, down to -40 degrees celcius sometimes.

Given that this is our first winter season with the unit I want to make sure that I take all neccessary precautions to preserve the unit.

    Thanks,

    -Keli

You can email Dan at Out of Doorsmart and he can get you one. The family is as good as they can be with the separation and all.

    Hope all is well.

HI I just got a 73, have to change out the refer. Reading the books on it, would love to see Airstreams in Action. I also need advice on the hitch, my 1ton has the tow package with the bumper hitch and some people think I to upgrade. thanks bob 417 449 7123 (xdandeman@hotmail.com).

Hey Kani and Jack, thank you for the information. My wife (Joyce) and I have made our arrangements at Acorn Acres. We were trying to decide somewhere close to go this fall and this looks like the time and place. I have joined the Air Midwest Club so now I can keep better tabs on what is happening. I will pass this on to others we know with Airstreams and see if there are any other takers. Lee

The further along we get with the remodel the more ideas we have. One that emerged recently was Paint. The walls were so dirty and dingy, sticky and yucky, drab and bland we wanted to spice her up a bit.

First I went to Lowe's and Home Depot to look for the perfect product to paint the vinyl clad walls and quickly found I was not at all comfortable with the answers I received...
