Thank you for your offer of hospitality. We are the middle of balancing schedule vs. route options at this point. I have avoided I-70 in Kansas in the past because of all the bad talk about it. Then I realized people are complaining about the boredom and not the road. I find traveling on the Americans plains to be fascinating and very relaxing... not boring.

I avoid I-70 in Missouri as a result of experience. I always cross Missouri on the southern edge on highway 60. I have never found a good route across Tennessee

I did make a post on your question about 70 and 80. I have taken many routes to get west including CO., northern, middle and southern routes. Highway 36 is a good route to go west. It is north of 70 which will take a little more time to get to including I80 from your location. It is worth it if you have the time. How fast do you need to get to CO, etc. 36 across MO and Kansas you can still travel 65 most of the way, I70 is 75 speed limit. As I stated in my post to your question we do have courtesy parking with 30 amp and water, there is a local park with dump station. We are 25 minutes north of Manhattan and around 30 minutes south of 36. If you would like more information and stopping places on 70 or 36 I can help. Lee
