    Hi themaroon,
    I did screw 2 screws through the aluminum rib into the 2x4's. This rig helped keep the dimensions intact. hope that helps.

    Hey Surfpod,

    Quick Question for you. In this picture of yours where you built a frame for the shell-off restoration, did you attach the wood to the aluminum in any way? Or is it just cut to length and wedged in there? I'm getting ready to try hoisting my first frame.
