how much do you want for the 15" set? Will they work on my Silver Streak 1963 22' Sabre?

Sorry about that. We took our trailer to Camper Clinic in Rockport to have bearings repacked, a little work on the brakes, and an inspection. We simply picked it up and headed to Goose Island the next weekend. No complaints about their work. I have had a couple of friends say Bishop RV is good. But keep in mind that neither of these are Airstream dealers. To me, brakes and bearings are basics that any of them should be able to do though. Discount tire will sell you tires and I actually just took off some very new 15 inch tires and wheels when I installed new 16 inch wheels. So if you need the tires, I have some you can buy. I have also noticed that several folks on the forums are "Inspectors" and will go check it out for you (for a small fee). On the forums is a gentleman called Top. He runs a business repairing and remodeling Airstreams. Located in the Hill country and comes highly recommended by others. I have not used him yet....

    Good luck in your hunt!

I'm sorry I didn't phrase my request very well, I was wanting you to recommend someone or some business that does the work well as I don't even know who to call to buy tires as all are flat. You know...the place or person you'd take your rv to be worked on... cause references are kinda hard to come by for rv's.

Silvergirl. I think my buddy Rednax was overstating my abilities a bit. (-: I am ok with general maintenance and I have done a lot of basic repairs/upgrades on our trailer, but I am not the person you want to determine if something is road ready. Brakes, axles, wheel bearings, are all things I would take mine to a shop for. My advice, without seeing it, would be to rent a flat-bed trailer and tow her home that way. Then you have no worries whatsoever and you can start your evaluations at home. (ps, I also used to live in Calallen, about 8 or 10 years ago)
    Hope this helps..

I was given your name by Rednak. I live in Corpus and just bought a 22' Silver Streak that is in bad shape. It has been in a trailer park for 25 years, and only moved a few times within the park. I need to find a reputable person to look at my trailer and give me an estimate on getting the trailer ready so that I can move her to Calallen...ie brakes, axels, tires, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
