    Hi Steve

For heavier Airstream's we strengthen the hitch on the Q7 so it will work with weight distribution but for the 22 sport you can use weight distribution with the standard receiver. If you like send me an email andy@canamrv.ca and I can attache some information on how to set it up and some photo's of how it should all look. If you have not purchased the q7 yet the spring suspension on the Q7 is a little better for towing.

    Andy,
Thanks for all your research and fact-based information. We are considering purchase of a 2017 Audi Q7 with air suspension, with which we would tow a 2016 22 Sport. The manual says no to an equalizing hitch, suggesting it might tear the hitch off the vehicle! The hitch looks pretty good to me, and our trailer is about one-half the rated towing capacity. I'm tempted to go ahead, and would try it without the equalizing hitch but use one if it porpoises too much. Do you have any quick advice? It's a long trip, but should we come see you?
    Thank you,
    Steve
