Mike, thanks for all your advice over the years. My 2011 Interstate has the box that goes through the floor that Airstream used to stack two group 24 size 80amp Lifelines. I want to remove the box and put some other type of battery or batteries in its place. The size of the box limits my choices, so it has to go. Airstream uses a pass though battery post to connect the negative side to the inverter and charger, which also grounds the negative to the frame. On the edge of the box, about a half dozen bare copper wires are also grounded in a bus bar. If I do away with the box, and just place the battery in place, I'll need some way to ground the negative to the frame, and then I'd just use the existing bus bar screwed into the metal floor to ground that. But I was wondering if you had any suggestions as to size of wire and how to ground the new negative battery to the frame?
