Thanks Bob, I appreciate your feedback! I decided to get the zero offset wheels in the 16"

Sorry Harry, I didn't see you posts until just a now. I think the wheels you chose will work great. Right after I bought mine, they dropped that specific model number and added a new number for a slightly different design. It's hard to go wrong with AR wheels.

I think the section width could be problematic. When mounting tires and wheels to trailer, the room to slip the tire/wheel assembly up into the wheelwell is a bit tight. I don't know if the extra width would be hard to get into the wheelwell.

Bob, Another question - If my goal is to stay out of the ST tire types, why not consider a 15 Michelin? The Michelin comes in a 15" P235/75R15 and carries about 2100 Lbs at 44 psi. Diameter is between the others at 28.9" and the section width goes up from 8.8" on the BFG T/A to 9.3". Trailer wheels are more available with zero offset.
I'm not questioning the 16" decision as much as trying to find a wheel which gets me into a better tire (although this is not an LT tire). Your insight is appreciated. Scott

Bob, I have a question. I just bought a 1986, 29' Sovereign (gross weight = 6800Lb) and have to replace tires ASAP. I was going to take your suggestion on the 16" BFG Commercial and I specifically like the Outlaw II. Problem: I cannot find it in a 16" x 7, 6 bolt @ 5.5 with a zero to -6mm offset. Based on what I have read I believe this is what fits on a standard axle. I'm trying to contact the wheel manufacturer but they only give dealer contact info and the dealer does not help. Amercan Racing does a very poor job listing any specifics on their website.
Do I understand the wheel requirements properly? Do you know if American Racing inacivated your wheel. Do you know of a website which has more AR wheel detail. Thanks ahead and thanks for fighting the status quo regarding 15" Marathons. Some people just don't like change and I found your conviction inspiring. Scott

For wheels, I went with American Racing Outlaw II clearcoated aluminum wheels which have a 2450 load rating.
