    I found a door for $550 shipped from RV Revive in Iowa. Your FIL was right to be afraid of the door. Airstream wanted more than $3200 to make a new one. The one I found is salvage, but looks great. I lucked out.

    I was looking at that for my Father in Law. I think it was a great trailer but he was afraid of the door. I don't think it will be too difficult to fabricate a suitable replacement. Good Luck.

    Just saw your post about the 77 Safari 23' with the marine grade door. I think I bought that today in Houston or a matching one. Did you ever find a Airstream door?
