Hi Sean,
Thanks for your reply. We've been there and have gone. We ended up staying out at Cherokee Beach in Helena. It was a very nice CG, WiFi was excellent, Weather cooperated, location was convenient to client and we even had to find an RV parts store due to a fitting that froze during the winter. Overall, we had a very good trip.
Take care,
Bob & Lisa.

Hi, sorry but I just saw your message. Oak Mtn is the nicest but I think you are right about wifi. There's a former KOA in the Hoover area that seems to be a popular stop. Sorry, but I haven't actually camped much in my own town, if you know what I mean! I suspect that you have already visited Bham since your message was from April. Anyway, sorry that I just caught it. I don't get to Airforums as often as I'd like.Best regards, Sean

Hello,
My wife and I will be coming to Birmingham for a week in May as I have a client that I'll be doing some work with. I've looked on-line for Campground recommendations but am hoping that since you are in the area, you might be able to suggest a good CG and advise us on ones we should steer clear of. I've considered Oak Mtn State Park but they don't have WiFi in the CG. I've also looked at Tannehill Ironworks SP but I think it's the same there. We'd appreciate any advice you can offer.
Take care,
Bob & Lisa (a.k.a. FordTruck)
