    I took unit to a tire shop. Yes wheels come off so they can change valve. It is a good system. It is a shame that Mercedes does not use their system . Also a shame that Airstream does not order u it with tire pressure monitor. I did have two flats of inner tires at same time because of rubber stems with tireminder
