Hi! I did not want to read through that entire 1/2 ton truck thread to see if you got a reasonable answer, but I have a 2017 27' Flying Cloud front bed and while it was towable with the 1/2 ton Ford we had (2017 F150 with the big cab and 5'5" bed, 4WD, 3.5 EB) and there was plenty of power, when we loaded up the truck with our stuff and stuck the grandkids in as well, I was overweight. My payload in that truck was 1543 (with a GVWR of 7000 lbs) and I was right at 7000 without the grandkids. I can send you my slips if you want. Anyway, knowing I was going to go on a two week, 3k mile trip with the grandkids at Christmas I went ahead and bought a 3/4 ton. I bought an F250 diesel. The diesel was overkill and reduces the payload, but my payload is now 2132 lbs, which is plenty for me. To summarize, don't pay too much attention to Out of Sight. You can tow your 28' with a 1/2 ton if you are careful with payload. Have a great day!

    cheers,
    John aka "DewTheDew"
