I know he's still around, I talked to him 2hrs. ago, I think he needs a little more pressure from everyone to get back to working on Holly! He made up some reason about having to work for a living We all need that aluminum pot full of cash and time to keep our hobbies going! I am not helping his efforts much though because he is going on a recovery mission with me this weekend.

Tim and I spent part of the day today at the shop. Its nice to get back down there and work on our trailers. I actually started to put my second jalousie window back together today. I started with windows that had been painted and had 40 years of crud and stuff on them. Im glad to be done cleaning and correcting them.
I also made a spot shiny!

Its a pretty small spot for the time involved. I was avoiding my jalousie window. I did get to start reassembly on the window so things are looking up. I took 2 timbers down to the shop this weekend to put in the rafters. Im getting in the mood to lift the shell.

How time flies
Here we are , the end of January. Its 20 degrees out right now and the temps will be falling for the next couple of days. I do outdoor carpentry for work. It will be to cold to work for the rest of the week.
That means time for the trailer.
Im still playing musical windows and I think Im done cutting and filling window holes.I had been planning on having two 30" windows on the road side rear .
Holly is a rear door Overlander. As you enter these two windows would be in front of you , over the kitchen counter. One thing lead to another and now that opening has a 42" window in it instead of 2, 30 windows. The new wall space gives us a chance to add a entry closet and Pantry.
Anyways, Lets see what gets done today

Hi Doug Im getting tired of being at home so I had to do something. I got 2, 6x6's up in the rafters yesterday, resealed the polly ceiling, and put a loop of chain hanging from each timber. As well I made a masonite template of the front and back 4' of the trailer.I had a good day down there. Im hoping to go down tomorrow and drill a few rivets
Today its cold out as anyone around here knows. If your not here
STAY AWAY!!! It really cold here
Im not sure we will get above 0 degrees today. Im at home cleaning trying to earn points today
This is the best photo I have of what Holly's roadside will look like. The new rear roadside window is the one from the front roadside the didnt get damaged by the tree.

Hey, it got to +2 degrees out today! Factor in the windchill and it was -30... Minus 15 tonight, yeaaaahh!
At least you're indoors and can work on your trailer. We're waiting for warmer weather. You're making progress!

Being indoors does help. I work outside and I dont mind the cold to much but I cant imagine working on the trailer outside. We, Tim and I ,have become a little spoiled. We can leave tools, parts and ladders out and they will be right where we left them when we return.Im going to try it again tomorrow and see how it goes.

Yeah, I don't envy you working outside. I always feel for people who have to do that in our climate for a living. I'm glad you can at least work indoors on your trailer. We'll patiently wait for warmer weather for our trailer work.

Hey Brad
Trailer's looking great!
I have a quick question about the windows you're using. Do you have any info on where to get the Hehr standard windows. I'm working on that 57 Caravanner you help me with the H20-0 door handle.
Thanks
Mike

Morning Mike. My trailer came with all of its original windows. The large front windows on the roadside were damaged by a tree falling on them. I am able to make one from the two that were there. Along the way I have changed a few windows and I have ended up with a few extras.
What size are you looking for? Ill be at the trailer today and tomorrow, If you email me I will gladly take a look at what I have. I dont think Ill be doing another trailer soon.

I'm guessing you need a front or rear window from the size your looking for. Sorry no luck. I moved by back window to the front and my front window to the front road side position. I put a smaller window in the rear. The windows are the 24 and 30 inch ones. Sorry I couldn't help
