This picture may give a better perspective of the size ratio in the trailer. This is looking at the bare driver's side dinette seat ( upholstery is scheduled next week).

The new lights look great! Like the silverware, too.

Bubble bungalo as a garden guest house? A couple of you asked where I lived as you too are fond of 1910 era craftsman homes. Well here is a pic I took on a nice day this week (may) in beautiful Oregon. I've always thought it would be cool to back the airstream onto the grass in our yard and let our visiting family or guests enjoy a nice garden getaway rather than cramming into the house.

The bubble and your place look great, an aluminum guest house in the back yard would fit in well. Have fun on the maiden voyage.

Tell me what you think of the bubble ulpolstery. It's a recycled leather product with easy maintenance and It is easily cleaned I think were going to like it alot. Here are a few pictures. I'll take some more with better outdoor lighting. And here's my youngest boy Myles sitting on the rear bed. Cheers.

I also picked up some new vintage hub caps and washed the trailer up this afternoon. As well i installed new door within a door period correct door seal on the inner and outer door last night. It closes like a European car door now! Its almost ready for the maiden voyage to cape lookout on the coast in a few weeks! Cheers friends Ted

Not at the moment. We just got our spots reserved for the Oregon coast, a week in Idaho, and a week in central Oregon. When and where are the rallies in the northwest?

Thumbs up

Ted, That thing looks sharp. You've done a super job. Lock looks great also. What's the leather product you used? I like the look. Ed

Thanks Ed. The door handle you sent me looks better on a bubble than on the shelf doesn't it! Thanks again. The recycled leather product came from the Rex pegg company up in Tacoma Washington. I choose the saddle color as it seemed to be just enough contrast with the woodwork but also seems nice and rich. I gave back the swatch but could get the product numbers if you like. Thanks for the encouragement Ed.

Found their website. If you happen to find the #, PM it to me otherwise I'm sure I can get through them. I'm a ways from choosing fabric/leather. All the best Ed

Here are a few more pics and closeups. The upholster did a great job making the two curved pieces. The curved pieces stay tight to the wall with velcro. All of the cushions have a hidden zipper for future repair/ replacing and the seat coushins also have a small breathable backing edge piece tailored in so the air from the foam can breathe in and out when you sit on it or get up. We purchased very nice quality grade foam and wrapped them in Dacron for the finish look.

The Oregon Unit WBCCI is having the Wally Byam B-Day Rally in Baker City Oregon over the 4th of July and we would love to have you join us. I've been watching your progress and your bubble is beautiful and your son looks ready to go camping.

You gotta check out this little special built traeger pellet smoker I found. They are a company in Portland who played a big part in starting the whole smoker revolution. This baby smokes just like the big units but was one specially designed for rv use. It's nice and light and even fits perfectly on a coleman double burner aluminum foldable stand. The traeger dealer in town wanted to buy it from me because he had never even knew or seen one before. I smoked a filet the first night. Mmmm. Mmmm. Gourmet airstreaming begins.

Hadn't seen that little one. Its just a smoker not a grill I assume. I have one of their larger smoker/grills at home and love it. Ed

Beautiful work on the dinette, Ted. Love the leather cushions.

Can you tell me what door-within-a-door seals you used and where you bought them?

Yes mike. The gasket is called (gasket for overlay doors). From Vintagetrailersupply.com. It's in the "door" section on the website. 21 bucks a pop but they do the job and squish well because of the design. I used two. One on the edge of both door flanges with the flap seal piece pointing towards the edge. I gave the bubble a bath and it seals well.

And thanks for the kind remarks. All the best. Ted
